HOUSTON, TX - Produce partnerships make the world go ‘round. This was proven tenfold by the successful conclusion of Brighter Bites’ 2022–2023 programming season. This is a result of support from key industry partners, such as Taylor Farms, Driscoll’s, Mission Produce™, and more.

It is through the generous donations of produce and funding that will ultimately help change the course of produce consumption and overall health in communities across the country,” Rich Dachman, Chief Executive Officer of Brighter Bites, stated.

Since the fall of 2022, the nonprofit has distributed over $17 million worth of produce to the 51,615 families enrolled in the program. According to a press release, across the 263 program sites, Brighter Bites also implemented 25,357 nutrition education lessons and PE activities for 103,891 students.
