Kyle Hendrickson, a grower for CMI in Washington, introduces the D'Anjou pear. An organic variety that is harvested only once per year, the D'Anjou is hand picked at a lower pressure than other pear varieties. Pickers take extra care not to bruise the delicate fruit, and quality is determined by size and color.
