The 13th annual Capital Food Fight was held on November 10 at the Ronald Reagan Building on Capital Hill. The even featured 75 D.C. area restaurant stations, and drew over 1,300 attendees. Four local chefs competed to outdo each other in a challenge that involved cooking with mystery ingredients—including Mann’s Tenderbite Green Beans.

The Food Fight, founded by celebrity chef Jose Andres, gives 100 percent of event proceeds to D.C. Central Kitchen to provide nutritious meals to 80 nonprofit partners and 15 schools. The organization also helps unemployed men and women begin careers in the culinary industry. Mann’s was also joined by Keany Produce as sponsors of the event.
