Florida's fresh produce industry has been hit by two freezes this month. We spoke with Sam Jones, Operations Manager at Duda Farm Fresh Foods, about what his company is doing to protect their fresh citrus crop in the wake of last week's freeze. While some citrus and strawberry growers have sustained losses, Jones reports that careful preparation and water management prevented any kind of frost damage to their Florida citrus operations. He stated that there won't be any delays to this month's harvest, and expects that the market should remain stable throughout the Christmas holiday.
