US Foods Agrees to Acquire IWC Food Service; Dave Flitman and Bob Mackie Detail



ROSEMONT, IL - A major acquisition is taking place in the foodservice distribution space. It was recently announced that US Foods Holding Corp. will acquire IWC Food Service. The transaction is part of US Foods’ tuck-in acquisition strategy and will allow the company to further expand its reach into the central Tennessee region, where it does not currently have a distribution center.

According to a press release, IWC Food Service has more than $200 million in annual revenue and serves more than 2,700 independent restaurants, which make up more than half of its business, as well as other customers. After the acquisition, the company will continue to operate in the 160,000-square-foot facility where it conducts business today and will also continue service at the local Cookeville Cash-and-Carry store.

Pending regulatory approval, the acquisition is expected to close in the second quarter of 2024. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
