Cropped Images August 19I haven't been inside a 99 Cents Only Store in what seems like forever. Lucky for me, breaking that streak brought a pleasant surprise. Not many consumers think fresh produce when they hear 99 Cents Only Stores, but this company appears to be making great strides to improve its image by creating a produce-forward concept at ridiculously low-prices.Cropped Images August 19This recent visit brought me to a fresh-cut produce section packed with some of the big produce players and their products- Tanimura and Antle's Hydroponic Lettuce, Taylor Farms' Broccoli and Carrot Medley, Freska Mangos, Well-Pict Berries, Green Giant Asparagus, and Mission Avocados. The options are endless and the prices are beyond enticing at 99 cents a pop.Cropped Images August 19More retailers, and discount formats are moving into fresh produce as a way differentiate themselves and entice the broader consumer base. Supermarkets that include Target, Walmart and even 7-Eleven stores which traditionally don't market in 'fresh' are expanding their reach into the concept.

I suggest breaking your routine and checking out the value that 99 Cents Only Stores are bringing to the fresh produce experience.Cropped Images August 19
