MCALLEN, TX - Fresh produce holds a special space in the professional kitchen, and the International Fresh Produce Association’s Foodservice Conference gives suppliers a prime opportunity to showcase their products. GR Fresh’s Tony Incaviglia, Vice President of Sales and Marketing, gave me the inside scoop.

“We are most looking forward to reconnecting with existing partners, developing new ones, and getting educated on any new industry foodservice trends. We hope to learn more about the ever-changing foodservice trends, the demand for convenience, changing dietary preferences, sustainability, the focus on plant-based menu items, eco-friendly packaging, and how to reduce waste,” Tony began telling me.

At booth #724, GR Fresh will showcase its staple items of tomatoes, green and colored peppers, cucumbers, avocados, and some of its value-added foodservice packs.

“Our story is a feel-good one beginning back almost 70 years ago with Grandfather Juan Gonzales Reyes making the several-day trek through Mexico’s growing regions to bring back various commodities to market in Torreon, Coahuila,” Tony explained. “Today, we grow our own commodities from a full line of tomatoes to bell peppers, cucumbers, avocados, zucchini, yellow squash, eggplant, and other Mexican dry veg items. We look forward to showcasing all of this at the Foodservice Conference.”

As we move closer toward the show, be sure to keep a tab open for ANUK.
