Zallie Family Markets Announces Executive Promotions; David Zallie Comments



KEASBEY, NJ - Executive update coming your way! Zallie Family Markets—which operates ShopRite stores in Burlington, Camden, and Gloucester, New Jersey—has announced multiple executive appointments to bolster its leadership team.

Anthony Massoni, President, Zallie Family MarketsStepping into the role of President is Anthony Massoni, who joined the company in 2003. Massoni will lead Zallie Family Markets, overseeing sales, merchandising, and advertising programs, as well as retail operations at the company’s 11 ShopRite stores. He most recently held the position of Vice President of Operations and Merchandising, playing a key role in the grand reopening of the ShopRite of Glassboro and the opening of the company’s newest store, the ShopRite of Center Square.

The South Jersey-based retailer also announced the appointment of a new Vice President of Operations and Merchandising.

George Veit, Vice President of Operations and Merchandising, Zallie Family MarketsGeorge Veit has been promoted to the role, where he will oversee all facets of store operations. Before joining Zallie Family Markets in 2007 as an Assistant Store Manager, Veit worked for both Acme Markets and Giant Foods, a press release explained.

Veit was named Store Director of the ShopRite of Sicklerville in 2010 and later managed the ShopRite of Williamstown and ShopRite of Berlin before being promoted to District Manager in 2021.

Zallie Family Markets also named Anika T. Parker as the new Director of Human Resources.

Anika T. Parker, Director of Human Resources, Zallie Family MarketsAccording to the release, Parker will oversee its more than 2,400 team members, managing all HR policies and operations across each of the company’s 11 stores. She brings over 25 years of experience in the HR field to her new role.

David Zallie, Chief Executive Officer, commented on the leadership transition.
