SACRAMENTO, CA - The world has seen many epic rivalries across history: the Red Sox Vs the Yankees, Jedis Vs Sith, Freddy Vs Jason, and so on. But now, thanks to the beautiful creation of internet YouTube videos, I offer you perhaps the biggest face-off of all time—Cats Vs Cucumbers.

As a well-known cat enthusiast, I have some qualms with purposefully scaring cats, but as a produce journalist I take it as my duty to investigate such big unasnwered questions within our industry. Just exactly why cats have a vendetta against the long, green gourd is still a mystery. Is it some primordial cat instinct? Is it a shape issue? Are other vegetables also included in this feline feud?
