The ALC Atlanta Flatbed Office Joins With Mission Haiti for Shoe Donation

LA CAÑADA FLINTRIDGE, CA – Mother Nature has been less than kind in recent months as hurricanes batter countries across the globe. In an effort to address some of the recent devastation is the Allen Lund Company, who is constantly looking for ways to do its part to help others in need.

Following the disastrous aftermath of Hurricane Matthew, the ALC Atlanta Flatbed office joined the efforts of Mission Haiti to help provide transport for a donation of shoes by K.I.D.S./Fashion Delivers, according to a press release. The 40' sea container was completely filled with 26,000 pairs of BOBs shoes which were greatly appreciated and needed by Mission Haiti.

"After witnessing the devastating effects of Hurricane Matthew in Haiti, the Flatbed office was very eager to help out by offering transportation for Mission Haiti," Chris Clelland, Flatbed Division Manager of  ALC Flatbed said.

The outreach effort from Holy Family Church in South Pasadena, California, truly aligns with ALC’s constant effort to not only give, but, give back. The transport will be from South Pasadena and will arrive in Miami by next week for its final move to Port-au-Prince, Haiti.

Karl Holtsnider, Coordinator, Mission Haiti

"We can't thank the Allen Lund Company enough. The truck even arrived early and the driver was a pleasure to work with," stated Karl Holtsnider, Mission Haiti Coordinator, according to the statement.

It is stories like this, and companies like Allen Lund, that can help a community or a country begin to recover; even if one day at a time.
