Harps Food Stores Acquires Janise's Supermarket; Kim Eskew and Michael Dwayne Janise Detail
SPRINGDALE, AR - Louisiana is the latest focus of Harps Food Stores' attention, and to grow its reach in the region, it has announced an acquisition. The retailer recently entered into a purchase agreement with Janise's Supermarket, located in Sunset, Louisiana, a cornerstone of the local community for over four decades.

Known for its warm, friendly atmosphere; personalized customer service; and wide selection of products, Janise's embodies many of the same values as Harps. As stated in a release, the retail chain is dedicated to preserving and enhancing the traditions that have made Janise's Supermarket so popular in the local community.
As part of the acquisition, Harps Food Stores will retain the existing staff at Janise's Supermarket, ensuring a smooth transition for both employees and shoppers. Although the timing of the transaction has not been finalized, both parties anticipate completing the transaction by the end of July 2023.
The Harps store will offer residents of Sunset and the surrounding community a large variety of fresh fruits and vegetables, along with Harps Black Angus beef, all-natural pork, and poultry, as well as well-stocked grocery, health and beauty care, dairy, and frozen departments.
