
PMA Fresh Summit 2013 Contest Winners Announced
Winners of the PMA Fresh Summit expo contests have been announced this past weekend. Booths were judged by a group of industry experts and peers, according to a news release.
The winners are as follows:
Best Island Booth – Sun-Maid Growers of California, Booth 2149
Best Inline Booth – Amerlux Lighting, Booth 158
Best New Product Launch – Sambazon, Booth 667
Best First Time Exhibitor – It’sFresh, Booth 5615
Sensory Experience Buyers’ Choice – Bridges Organic Produce, Booth 3922
Sensory Experience Kids’ Choice – Sunkist Growers, Inc., Booth 2839
The Fresh Summit Expo Contests not only generate excitement on the show floor, but they allow key buyers and consumer experts to taste, touch, see and experience the latest products straight from the company. All exhibitors are automatically entered into each contest.
Judges evaluate the Best of Show and Best First-Time Exhibitor Categories according to the attractive appeal of the booth, how well visitors can enter and move around the exhibit, the uniqueness of the exhibit design, and the overall appeal. Staff performance is also judged according to how well the staff engages with attendees off the aisle, adequate staffing numbers, positions of the staff, and staff appearance/professionalism. Products are judged based on display, eye appeal, benefit messaging, and integrated brand messaging, while the Best New Product Launch is evaluated on the company’s New Products Showcase display and the promotion of the new product inside the booth. The criteria for best sensory experience are based on taste, aroma, and quality indicators.
Winners of the best sensory experience will receive a digital ad in Fresh Magazine, a framed award, recognition in PMA PR, and recognition on PMA’s website, including photos.
All Best of Show winners, the First-Time Exhibitor winner, and the Best New Product Launch winner receive recognition in PMA PR, recognition on PMA’s website, and a framed award.
Best of Show Winners also get the privilege to be first on the “move list” for exhibit space next year, an All Access Pass to next year’s Fresh Summit, and an announcement on the show floor.
The Best New Product Launch winner also receives a shelf in next year’s New Products Showcase and a half-page digital ad in the winter issue of PMA’s Fresh Magazine.
The First-Time Exhibitor winner also receives a half-page digital ad in the winter issue of PMA’s Fresh Magazine, an all access pass to next year’s Fresh Summit, and $500 GES credit.
