Crunch Pak is collaborating with Disney Consumer Products to introduce a line of fresh sliced apple products, which will feature Disney characters such as Phineas and Ferb. Previously branded Disney Garden, and featuring Disney·Pixar Toy Story characters, the new line is co-branded by Crunch Pak and Disney. Tony Freytag, Marketing Director for Crunch Pak stated that "our fresh experience coupled with the power and equity of the Disney brand and characters will deliver excitement at the store level for our growing category."
Classic Salads is giving its Canadian shoppers access to a new Quick Response program on its retail salad packaging. Consumers will be directed to a mobile friendly page with links to product and company information, as well as recipes on the company’s website. Vice President of Sales and Marketing, John Burge, said, “Consumers today are often faced with choices in organic salads, and we want to assure them that Classic Salads is their best choice for quality, flavor and freshness.”
Bland Distribution Services is now finished with its expansion of its cold storage and dock areas. BDS’ 100,000 square feet of cold, dry, packing, dock and office space now offers eight different controlled areas with a 3,100 pallet position capacity. General Manager, Nick Sanchez, stated quote, “The facility has now doubled the controlled temperature zones from four to eight, increased dock doors and has brought the loading time from check in to completion down to one hour.”
