Dollar General Promotes Kelly Dilts to Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer; Jeff Owen Comments



GOODLETTSVILLE, TN - Working her way through the ranks, Kelly Dilts is getting ready to take over the role of Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for Dollar General, effective May 1, 2023. She will be succeeding the company’s current President and CFO, John Garatt, who will retire on June 2, 2023.

Kelly Dilts, Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, Dollar GeneralDilt joined Dollar General in July 2019, according to a release, and has served as Senior Vice President, Finance. She has been responsible for financial planning and analysis, procurement, margin planning and analytics, decision science and analytics, and investor relations.

Before joining Dollar General, Dilts was Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer at Francesca’s Holding Corporation. She has 30 years of experience in retail financial and strategic planning, operational finance, and controllership. Throughout her career, she has held roles of increasing responsibility at Tailored Brands as well.

Dilts earned a bachelor’s degree in finance from the University of Texas at Austin.
