After launching in October, Duda Farm Fresh Foods Radish Ministicks have gained ground on the retail market. The Ministicks are helping to expand the value-added radish category, and they're meeting with great success from the consumer side. The radish ministicks offer the crunch and color of conventional radishes while minimizing the bitter taste, making them an ideal addition to many recipes. They're currently available in HEB, Publix and Safeway stores.
Southern Exposure 2011 kicks off in just six weeks. The Southeast Produce Council is reporting that all exhibition spaces have sold out for this year's show, and they anticipate attendance to match last year's record-breaking number. The show starts on March 3rd, with the Exposition Floor open on Saturday the 5th. Registration is open now.
Sunkist Growers is releasing its classic Sunkist Smiles Clementines and Mandarins with a bright new packing twist this winter. Dean Troxel, Sunkist’s Director of Packaging stated that “We’re branding these popular citrus varieties for easy recognition, both of our product and of the fact they are easy, fast, fun, ‘good-for-you’ snacks that also deliver an abundance of nutritional value.” The new packaging design includes images of smiling children and juicy fruit slices. Package sizes range from the traditional 5 pound box trays to grab ‘n go bags of 2, 3, and 5 lb bags
