The Fruit Exchange, LLC will serve as the exclusive sales agent for Green Giant Fresh Citrus in North America. Navels and lemons will kick off the new program, but it will soon include other products. General Manager of Growers Marketing, Woody Johnson, stated, “We are excited about the partnership with The Fruit Exchange, and look forward to offering consumers the same trusted brand in citrus as we do in fresh vegetables.” LoBue Citrus starts packing Green Giant Fresh brand citrus this week.
It’s not just the seasons that are changing... Peri and Sons Farms is transitioning into a new look. Starting this Spring, the onion grower-shipper will market all previous brands such as Purple Passion and Mustang, under a single Peri and Sons Farms brand. Marketing and customer relations manager Teri Gibson said quote, “Over the last year, we have been implementing a re-branding strategy. During the process it became obvious that the common thread running through all of our brands is the reputation of Peri & Sons Farms and building on that strength is what we should be focusing on.” The new brand can be seen on the company’s packing cartons, which have just been launched.
Southern Exposure 2011 is just around the corner, and attendance is expected to be bigger than ever! There will be 200 exhibitors at the show, and almost 300 retail and food service representatives are registered; however, total attendance is expected to reach a record-breaking number of 1300. Terry Vorhees from the Southeast Produce Council stated quote, “We look forward to seeing our past Southern Exposure attendees and extend a warm welcome to our new attendees. Our goal is to ensure that all attendees find it to be a worthwhile business experience as well as a fun enjoyable one.” The conference runs from March third through 5th in sunny Orlando, Florida.
