This relationship is proving to be a family affair. The Legacy Foodservice Alliance is welcoming Best Mexican Foods, Inc. as a distributor member. The company opened the first taco stand in New York City in 1968. 40 years later, Best Mexican Foods is now the oldest and largest Mexican food distributor in the northeast.

Jocelyn Gretz is the latest addition to the Gills Onions Family! Gretz will focus on the onion crops grown for Gills Onions. Her responsibilities will include streamlining field data tracking procedures in an effort to aid growers in minimizing their work. She will also assist Gills Onions in meeting the current demand for sustainability tracking and reporting. Nikki Rodoni, Director of Sustainability, states, “Jocelyn has already made great progress in the short time she has been with us, and we look forward to seeing how her education and experience will help Gills Onions remain an industry leader in the sustainability arena.”
Potandon Produce is thinking pink! The company is launching a breast cancer awareness campaign. It will feature two of Potandon’s potato varieties in pink breast cancer awareness packaging. The Klondike Rose® and the Klondike Goldust®, will be available from September 15 through October 31. A purchased package of one of these two varieties will also be accompanied by a donation from Potandon toThe National Breast Cancer Foundation. Potandon’s Chief Operating Officer Steve Ottum stated, “Given the prevalence of breast cancer among U.S. women, we feel that promoting breast cancer awareness with our products is incredibly important.”
