Congratulations to Vincent Lopes for becoming the new Vice President of Sales in the West Coast for Naturipe Farms. His priorities include expanding overall strawberry sales, increasing sales to existing clients, and creating new opportunities with area retailers. Lopes has been in the industry since 1987. This popular retailer broker keeps its new hires on the cutting edge. Edge Sales is welcoming Diane Kirkpatrick as its new Retail Operations Manager. Her new job entails developing relationships with clients and overseeing marketing strategies, as well as following business initiatives under the Safeway banner. President Brad Raffanti, stated, “Retail execution is an extremely important ingredient for clients and retailers success. We are committed to improve and expand our services in this area.”

Analyze this: Two good food testing services are about to become one great one. IEH Laboratories & Consulting Group is announcing their acquisition of the California company Environmental Micro Analysis, or EMA. The company tests for pesticides, insecticides, fungicides and herbicides in fruits, vegetables, soils and waters, specializing in pesticide residue analysis. The purchase extends IEH’s testing capabilities even further, allowing them to better assist clients to comply with national and international quality standards.
