Ocean Spray and the Oppenheimer Group have added jumbo dried cranberries, dried cherries and dried blueberries to its growing range of offerings, which includes fresh cranberries and blueberries. The new dried fruit lineup are available this month in produce aisles everywhere and they're being offered in both 4 and 5 ounce packages. Ocean Spray Marketing VP Larry Martin stated that "We've taken all the goodness of the whole cranberry, blueberry and cherry and created a healthy on-the-go snack for today's busy family."
LoBue Brothers is kicking off their citrus season with a new name, new hires and several upgrades at their Lindsay, California plant. LoBue Brothers will now be known as LoBue Citrus, with an updated logo and their Legacy of Excellency tagline. The LoBue packing facility is also getting a facelift, with the addition of new cooler space and a redesigned packing line that will increase quality control.
RPE recently expanded their national and local area staff with three new additions in the areas of sales, agronomy, and logistics. Darren White has joined the sales staff of RPE's newly opened Colorado branch in Monte Vista, Colo. White spent nine years with Farm Fresh, where he helped earn the “2009 Colorado Governor’s Award for Excellence in Exporting". John Kennicker has been hired as Research Technician to assist Senior Agronomist, Michael Copas, and Roland Rieflin has joined the logistics team.
