This annual event is more than just fun. Peak of the Market’s annual Family Fun Day broke records this year by bringing in more than $95-hundred dollars in donations for a local children’s charity- more than the event has ever generated in its 14 year history. President & CEO, Larry McIntosh, stated, "The response was overwhelming again this year. We had great crowds, beautiful weather and the highest donations ever.” About 5,000 people dropped by the event, made a donation, and of course, ate some veggies!

This company thinks that two of its newest employees have the whole package. NoKota Packers is announcing the hire of Steve Johnson as the latest addition to their sales team. Mr. Johnson has 12 years of sales experience in the potato industry and 6 years in transportation brokering. Meanwhile, Carissa Olsen, a six year member of the accounting and support staff, will take over as the Director of Operations.

Cenergy Power is alerting companies hoping to get some green, by going green, to act fast! Following congress’ passing of the Budget Control Act last week, the government will be moving into a two-phase approach to help reduce the deficit. One result of the program is that two critical government incentives- the ITC Treasury Cash Grant and the 100% Bonus Depreciation- will likely not be extended beyond this December. This means that businesses hoping to get cash returns by going solar will only have until that month to do so. These federal incentives can cover up to 60 percent of a solar project’s capital costs.
