Peri & Sons Farms is hoping its sweet new promotion will drive customers to the “OnionXpress!” During the months of June, July and August, customers earn entry “tickets” based on their sales. All tickets are internally compiled and one lucky winner is randomly drawn each month to choose one of three different prizes, including a tour package. Teri Gibson, marketing and customer relations manager, stated, “Our OnionXpress 2011 promotion is a fun way for us to get in front of our customers and also to keep them informed about our onion availability throughout the spring/summer season.”
Orchard View Farms cherries are playing the movie star role: arriving fashionably late but this time with more bang! According to the operation’s president, Brenda Thomas, only four days of Spring had temperatures higher than 70 degrees this year. As a result, harvest is not anticipated to begin until the third week of June. However, it should start out strongly. Thomas said quote, “We expect to have more fruit right out of the gate than last year. We also anticipate that our total volume will be up about 25 percent.” The Oppenheimer Group, the grower’s exclusive marketer, is looking forward to working with the company this season.

Best luck to you, Mr Simmons!
