Southern Specialties is now shipping its Regal Artichokes in its Southern Selects six count packages. The artichokes will travel in modified atmosphere bags with innovative packaging features such as a new design with text, nutritional information and advantages, and preparation instructions, in both English and French. The leaves bare purple highlights that are wonderfully accentuated by the sweetness they signify. The medium sized Regal Artichokes can be prepared quickly and are the perfect pair for any dish or meal.
The USDA is announcing the continuation of the federal potato marketing order program in the state of Washington. Eighty percent of participating potato growers voted in favor of continuing the order which establishes minimum requirements for the state’s fresh market potatoes. The program exists to stabilize the market and also allows farmers to create a working collective to solve issues within the industry.
With this company’s new green grape variety that tastes just like cotton candy, Grapery, Incorporated is combining science and savor to wow the senses. The company teamed up with International Fruit Genetics and the University of Arkansas to create this new product. Grapery CEO Jim Beagle states, “Cotton Candy tastes like no other grape…You have to try them for yourself. Frankly, you won’t be able to stop eating them. Our commercial trials look very successful, and we are rapidly expanding production of this grape variety over the next several years.”
