Sun World International LLC has a new licensing agreement with three leading California Stonefruit companies. Wawona Packing Company, Incorporated, Enns Packing Co-Wespak Sales and Sunwest Fruit Company are part of the new agreement. They will soon be growing and marketing new plum, peach, nectarine and apricot varieties developed by Sun World. Sun World Senior Vice President David Marguleas said, “We look forward to maintaining our own stonefruit operations along with these new production-marketing alliances with three of the industry’s most venerated companies to ensure greater retail, wholesale and consumer access to our specially-bred plums, apricots and peaches.”

Crunch Pak is hoping to get a slice of social media to help deliver messages to shoppers. The industry leader in sliced apples will put stickers on 500,000 of its 14-ounce bags of sliced apples per week with messages about Facebook, Twitter and the company’s new website. National Marketing director Tony Freytag stated that “social media allows us to connect with our consumers. Having their loyal purchases is one thing, but being able to engage in a dialogue with our most dedicated consumers via social media is a benefit we truly value.”

Christopher Wilson just received a promotion as National Accounts Manager for the Allen Lund Company, Boston office. Wilson has been with the company since 2007 and started as a Transportation Broker. Wilson says quote “I’m eager to meet with shippers to discuss the professional services that we offer. I’m ready to embark on this new chapter of my career with ALC and I’m confident in achieving great success.” The Allen Lund Company specializes in truckload freight across the country.
