Sun World International has put the finishing touches on the largest Ad campaign in Kern County. The building refresh project has turned one whole side of the Sun World facility in Bakersfield into a 520 foot long banner, featuring the company's grapes, citrus, peppers and plums. Sun World CEO Al Vangelos stated that "There's a great view of our facility from Highway 99, so we've turned the space into a tool to educate people about the fresh products that Sun World grows."

The Produce Marketing Association Fresh Connections: Australia-New Zealand event, held as part of Fresh Event 2010, is being called a great success. With nearly 750 national and international delegates in attendance, this year's Fresh Connections event featured a dazzling array of leading speakers from across the produce and floral supply chain who discussed critical industry issues. In addition, the trade show's 56 exhibitors all reported strong business.

Walter P. Rawl & Sons is showing of their new logo, which reflects the company's vertically integrated growth. In January, the North Carolina-based grower-shipper-packer and processor expanded sweet corn and leafy greens production in the Mississippi Delta, acquiring majority ownership of Mississippi Sweet Corn Producers Inc. Sales and Marketing Director Ashley Rawl stated that "Our new image signifies our continued organizational growth, while staying true to our farming roots."
