SunnyRidge Farms is adding a new blueberry distribution center to be
completed by the end of March. It will include over 26,000 square feet of packing
space. Keith Mixon, President and CEO of SunnyRidge stated that “We are very
excited about the opportunities for this new facility. Its excellent location helps us
close the ‘geographic gap’ that currently exists between our Central Florida and
Southern Georgia distribution facilities; allowing us to provide a higher quality
product and increased speed to market.” SunnyRidge Farm expects to market
over 6 million pounds of blueberries during the 2011 season.
