Tanimura and Antle's Artisan Lettuce Season's Bringing promotion is effectively engaging retailers and consumers alike, with growing success in sales and customer response. Several retailers are reporting more than four times their normal sales, and T&A's Director of Marketing Diana McClean states that "It's incredible to see the rapid increase in consumer response to a product we truly believe is a superior alternative to bagged salads and other processed varieties."

The new Let’s Move Salad Bars to Schools coalition is comprised of three founding partners – the United Fresh Foundation, Food Family Farming Foundation, and National Fruit & Vegetable Alliance. United Fresh President and CEO Tom Stenzel says this new public and private sector partnership will “provide a powerful team to make salad bars a cornerstone strategy in increasing fruit and vegetable consumption in schools.” The Let’s Move Salad Bars to Schools initiative encourages any school that wants a salad bar to create their own fundraising web page to help bring healthy options to the cafeteria.

Oppenheimer and Mexican avocado grower, Mevi, have entered into an partnership for 2011. Oppenheimer will have a stronger avocado category with reliable sources as a result, and Mevi will secure greater supply chain management and a increased direct-to-retail business. CEO of Mevi Avocados, Javier Medina, stated that “We know the avocado industry has maintained steady growth, but we also know it is becoming increasingly competitive. That is why we are choosing to work with Oppenheimer, and in doing so strengthening our market presence.”
