While "Love Beets" might sound like the latest top-40 hit, it's actually a new range of fresh infused, ready-to-eat beets from the Great Britain that TMK Produce of Philadelphia is introducing to the U.S. retail market. The clamshell packed beets are grown by the Shropshire Family in England, and are harvested young for a sweeter taste and then cooked until tender. Be on the lookout for Sweetfire, Honey and Ginger and White Wine and Balsamic Love Beets.
Employees at Frieda’s, Inc. recently completed “Where in the World is Frieda’s,” a pedometer competition and part of the company’s health awareness campaign. Sixteen employees participated in the 12-week-long contest, and the combined total of all the walkers was a whopping 3,322 miles! The Frieda’s Healthy Initiative task force is always looking for new ways to get their employees active in a fun competitive environment.
FirstFruits Marketing has announced the shipment of its first apple donation connected with the national “Take a Bite Out of Hunger” campaign, with the goal of donating one million apples to food banks within the US before January 31.
