Well-Pict unveiled two new varieties at this year's Fresh Summit. The premium, proprietary strawberry variety offers much larger berries than usual for the later parts of the season, which should mean higher sales in the produce departments, according to Well-Pict Sales Manager, Dan Crowley. Well-Pict also featured a new proprietary raspberry variety, developed all-naturally to deliver bigger berries and even better taste.

Produce in the city of brotherly love is getting a digital facelift as the Philadelphia Wholesale Produce Market launches their new website. PWPM.net will showcase the new facility's floor plan, which will be home to 26 merchants offering a wide variety of local, organic, imported and conventional fresh fruits and vegetables. There will be a tour of the 700,000 square foot facility on November 11th, as part of the New York Produce Show.

Sunkist has launched their new mobile website along with a downloadable application to keep app-aholics happy. The free Sunkist Daily Diet Review app is now available for the iPhone and Droid, and offers consumers the same functionality and features found online at sunkistdailydiet.com but with improved convenience for on-the-go users. The diet and exercise tracking program makes it easy to count calories and discover healthy food choices.
