Freska Produce: Year Round Mangos And More at Fresh Summit 2011

Tom Hall, Sales Manager for Freska Produce International, joins us for this edition of Shop Talk . One of the largest mango importers out of Central and South America, Freska is currently transitioning from their Mexican mango season to their off-shore mango season. At this time, mangos are being sourced from Ecuador and will bring in both Atualfo and Tommy Atkins varieties. The Peruvian season will follow shortly thereafter. Freska's vegetable program is presently in the ground and growing out of Mexico. The Winter Bell and Chile Program is featuring red, yellow, and green bells as well as Jalapeños, Serranos, Pasillas, Anaheims, and Red Fresnos.
