Sun Pacific President Bob DiPiazza Talks Growing Organics

ORLANDO, FL - Sun Pacific has a number of moves in the pipeline, not the least of which is a plan to dive into the rapidly-growing organic segment. Company President Bob DiPiazza carved out some time on the bustling Fresh Summit show floor to give me a glimpse of what’s to come.

“The big news is we’re getting into organics in a big way,” Bob tells me, explaining that the company already has organic grapes this season, but will have a full line of green, red, and black next season.

To achieve this, Sun Pacific has signed an agreement with Sun World to grow some of its patented varieties.

“Next year our Mighties™ kiwi will be organic,” Bob shares, adding the company continues to drive double-digit sales in the country for the kiwi category. “We’ll be adding citrus, our Cuties® and our oranges, in 2018,” he finishes on planned organic growth.

Other plans include new merchandising techniques for Sun Pacific’s navel oranges to keep the category energized. To learn how, and to hear more about what Bob had to say for all that’s in store, watch the short video interview above.
