Sendik's Opens its 12th Store in Wisconsin
Sendik’s Food Markets is bringing its warm, welcoming atmosphere to a new area…and this time, they’re moving farther west! The family owned and operated retailer has now opened its 12th store in Hartland, Wisconsin. The new 30,000 square-foot-store is located at 600 Hartbrook Drive, formerly known as Hartbrook Mall and now called Sendik’s Hartland Plaza, according to Milwaukee Business Journal.
Sendik’s is unlike any other grocery store you may have seen before. With carpeted floors and display islands for individual produce categories like stone fruit, any hungry shopper would be happy to return for another visit any day of the week. This retailer goes the extra mile to represent its suppliers. Grapes aren’t just sold as grapes, they’re Castle Rock Reds. And a sweet potato isn’t just a sweet potato, it’s a Bako Sweet from Bakersfield, California with a history and a family behind it.“We frequently hear from customers who would like Sendik’s to join their community,” said Ted Balistreri, one of the family co-owners of Sendik’s.
