Stater Bros. Markets Expands in Ontario, California; Pete Van Helden Comments
SAN BERNARDINO, CA - The Southern California-based retailer expanded further into its territory, establishing a new store in Ontario, California. The latest Stater Bros. Markets store will be 47,491 square feet and offer plentiful amounts of fresh products. 
“Stater Bros. is very proud to bring this new and modern market to serve the bustling community of Ontario,” said Stater Bros. Chief Executive Officer and Chairman Pete Van Helden. “With this store, I believe we’ve created a grocery shopping venue to match the fun and upbeat community of people who live and work in the surrounding area.”
A ribbon-cutting ceremony will take place next week to commemorate the store’s opening.
A press release noted the amenities of the newest addition to the Ontario supermarket scene. Fresh produce will continue to be a central part of the store’s appeal, alongside the requisite full-service meat, seafood, service deli, and bakery departments. Fresh sushi will be created in-store daily by professionally trained sushi chefs, and fruit will be freshly cut on location at the store’s fruit-cutting station.
