Gianna D'Arrigo Details 2023 Kick-Off and Advice to Customers
BRONX, NY - Starting the year off right is essential in our industry, setting each of us up for more reachable successes and attainable goals. As we make our way through the start of 2023, I reached out to our friends at D’Arrigo New York for a few words of advice on how best to take advantage of today’s resources. And, as always, they delivered—proceeding with both expertise and insight, as well as strategy and action.
Gianna D’Arrigo, Marketing Coordinator, joins me this January, kicking off our conversation by speaking directly to buying operations and noting what areas of focus can bring them the biggest benefit as they look to tap the high value of working with D'Arrigo New York.
“As inflation continues, utilizing market pricing will act as a huge benefit to buying operations,” Gianna tells me, her finger on the pulse of the industry’s health. “As a firm in the market, we are always fluctuating in inventory and can be flexible in that manner. At D’Arrigo New York, we are resilient and proactive, constantly pivoting for the needs of our customers.”
When I ask Gianna what buying operations should know about planning and timing for 2023 to ensure they can respond to high consumer demand, her response is clear and direct: Pay attention.
“Pay attention to the current weather patterns and keep in close contact with your salesperson. They will always be the most knowledgeable on the quality and availability of the product,” she shares. “Also, understanding which specific items have high consumer demand will be essential in order to buy the most efficiently.”
Gianna adds that footing in 2023 is key, and being able to see all the way from the farm to the plate is mandatory.
“Keep in mind that consumers are much more price-conscious than ever before, and certain high-value items may not be as popular as they were previously,” she says. “Attention to shifting behaviors will keep customers ahead of the game and on top of the competition.”
In other words, as we all know, the only constant in life is change—and those who adapt will find themselves leading the pack.
