Gold Coast Packing's Crystal Chavez and Save Mart's Betty Tomao Win April Snack Cover Contest
SACRAMENTO, CA - With our inboxes ablaze with contest submissions, two industry sleuths were quickest to the draw, discovering the hidden ANUK apple logo on the April issue of The Snack. Their hawk eyes and fast fingers have since earned them the $100 prize and a place in The Snack contest hall of fame.
The first to submit their discovery of the coveted logo was none other than Crystal Chavez, Marketing Coordinator at Gold Coast Packing. Due to her diligence and skill, Chavez has won the title of supply-side champion.
“I love The Snack! I love that it offers great information on all things produce but also that it shares the people behind the produce. My Favorite Things and SnackChats may or may not be what I read first every issue!” said Chavez. “Plus, WTFs helps me add fun new recipes to my weekly rotation! Thank you to all the great people behind The Snack.”
The next winner came to us from the buy-side as Betty Tomao, Fresh Buyer for the Produce Department-Supply Chain at Save Mart, made a quick appearance in our inboxes.
“With California opening up and life starting to get back to a ‘new norm,’ I will be using my winnings to treat my grandbabies to an outing at our favorite local ice cream parlor,” explained Tomao.
