Harps Acquires Beachler's Hometown Market in Oklahoma; Kim Eskew and Keith Beachler Comment

SPRINGDALE, AR - With over 143 stores under its belt already, Harps Food Stores is expanding its retail presence with the acquisition of Beachler’s Hometown Market in Prague, Oklahoma.

Beachler’s is a long-standing, independent grocery retailer that has been part of the Prague community for over 45 years, according to the press release.

As part of the deal, Harps plans to retain the current staff. The store will close at the end of its business day on April 9 and will reopen on April 13 as Harps.

“Since 1978, I have been fortunate and grateful to be a member of the Prague community,” said Keith Beachler, Owner of Beachler’s. “Departing after such a lengthy period is difficult, but it is now time for me to retire. After reviewing several options, I feel that Harps is by far the best option for our great employees as well as an outstanding business partner for the city of Prague.”

Currently, Harps operates a total of 143 store locations in surrounding states, including Arkansas, Oklahoma, Missouri, Mississippi, Louisiana, and Kansas.
