MISSION VIEJO, CA - The Hass Avocado Board has announced two new promotions in its finance and marketing departments—Robert Rumph as Vice President of Finance, and Gina Widjaja as Director of Marketing & Communications. Both employees have exhibited a passion for the avocado industry and the Hass Avocado Board that has greatly contributed to organization, according to Executive Director Emiliano Escobedo. 

Rumph began his tenure with the Hass Avocado Board in 2009 as Controller and Financial Services Manager, and according to a press release, revenue for the company has increased more than 80 percent.

Widjaja joined the Hass Avocado Board in 2012, where she served as the company’s Marketing & Communications Manager. In this role, Widjaja has focused on shaping perceptions of the nutritional benefits of avocados in the U.S., contributing to making “good for you” the number one reason costumers say they purchase avocados, as reported by consumers.

“Their determination and excellent work will continue to propel us forward in our pursuit to strengthen the position of the Hass Avocado industry in the domestic marketplace while increasing consumption for our product,” Escobedo said.

Robert and Gina will play instrumental roles in assuring that Hass Avocado Board’s leadership shapes the way the public views good fats and the advantageous role that avocados play in a healthy eating plan, Escobedo added, as the company continues to grow and lead in discussing the nutritional benefits of avocados.
