LE GRAND, CA - Anyone who knows anything about me knows that I love any and all things pink. With that being said, I’m sure you can imagine the spark in my eyes when I heard that J. Marchini Farms is bringing more pink to the produce department, as it recently announced the addition of Radicchio Rosa to its commodity line.

Francesca Fordice, Sales and Marketing, J. Marchini Farms“There is an increased awareness and newfound love for the chicory family, and Radicchio Rosa is one of those bitters foodies love,” said Francesca Fordice, Sales and Marketing.

The grower produces commodities that connect back to its family roots and history, being Italian immigrants in the 1920s, according to a press release. Best known for its Radicchio, Italian specialties, and fresh figs, J. Marchini is gearing up to harvest Radicchio Rosa just in time for Valentine’s Day.

Featuring enticing, vivid pink colors of all shades, Radicchio Rosa has taken over social media, commonly referred to as pink radicchio. With delicate leaves and mild bitterness, whether it be blush or magenta, this radicchio is the perfect pink addition to any salad.

With Valentine’s Day just around the corner, I’m sure shoppers will be looking for ways to bring the festivities into their own kitchens, and Radicchio Rosa will be right there waiting for them.
