SANGER, CA - Kings River Packing is joining in on the season of merriment with its latest portfolio expansions. The supplier has introduced a new grapefruit program as well as added organic options for Mandarins, lemons, Navel oranges, Cara Cara oranges, and Raspberry Oranges®. Between these additions and import programs that allow for year-round supply, Kings River aims to stay true to its roots of quality.

Michelle Alo, Director of Marketing, Kings River Packing“Our goal is to improve the lives of those around us. When it comes to retailers, it means reducing complexity wherever we can. Adding more varieties allows buyers to optimize loads and reduce the number of stops for their trucks, helping to reduce complexity in tracking and orders,” said Michelle Alo, Director of Marketing.

With year-round California supply, the new grapefruit program builds on the Kings River branding that consumers have come to recognize for quality in store, a press release explained. With a variety of pack configurations available, Kings River provides the flexibility to meet each retailer’s unique needs from branded to private label products.

The press release also cited the Organic Produce Network’s 2021 State of Organic Produce report, noting that the organic citrus category continues to see double-digit growth year over year. Kings River recognizes that buyers need to have ample supply to keep up with consumer demand as more shoppers focus on health in the coming year. Kings River has organic Mandarins and lemons available now and will have organic Cara Caras and Raspberry Oranges following soon afterward.

“As the new Director of Marketing, it is exciting to see the investment in the future and work with retailers on partnering to grow their category with our expanded assortment,” said Alo.

With these new programs on deck, there is no telling which shelves Kings River will land on next.
