Kroger Unveils New Spoke Facility and Expands Kroger Delivery to South Florida; Andrea Colby Comments
MIAMI, FL - Kroger's delivery network is showing tell-tale signs of a well thought out expansion strategy, as the grocer continues to broaden the scope of its evolving delivery service. After revealing a new facility in Central Ohio just last month, the grocer has revealed a new spoke location in Miami, making Kroger Delivery available to shoppers in South Florida.
"We're thrilled to introduce customers to Kroger Delivery in South Florida," said Andrea Colby, E-Commerce Corporate Affairs and Communications Manager. "We offer customers a more convenient option to access fresh food and grocery items. Kroger Delivery is an easy, seamless way to order groceries, have them arrive in refrigerated vans, delivered to your door by professional, uniformed associates all based on your demanding schedule."
The new spoke facility will stand at 60,000 square feet and will work in collaboration with the company's fulfillment center in Groveland, Florida. As explained in a recent press release, the new facility will serve as a last-mile cross-dock location that efficiently expands Kroger Delivery's ability to serve more customers. With the opening of this location, Kroger will offer job opportunities with roles in logistics, human resources, and transportation to support its expansion in South Florida.
