Southeast Produce Council Welcomes Tim Graas as Chairman of the Board; David Sherrod and Raina Nelson Share



MILLEN, GA - Although the Southeast Produce Council’s (SEPC) Southern Innovations conference ended several weeks ago, exciting news surrounding the event is still making its way down the newswire. The latest update from the association is that Tim Graas of Associated Wholesale Grocers has been appointed as SEPC’s new Board of Directors Chairman for 2022–2023.

Tim Graas, Chairman of the Board, Southeast Produce Council and Executive Director of Produce, Associated Wholesale GrocersGraas started in retail at the age of 16, and after spending 23 years in the sector, he decided to move to procurement in 2005. He has been with AWG ever since. The introduction of the council’s new Chairman was made on September 23 during the Chairman’s Dinner Dance at Southern Innovations in Nashville, Tennessee, a release explained.

Beginning with the company as a Produce Specialist, he has progressed to his current role as Executive Director of Produce Field Procurement, in which he oversees the produce procurement for nine divisions and over 3,200 member retailers.

The latest update from the Southeast Produce Council is that Tim Graas of Associated Wholesale Grocers has been appointed as its new Board of Directors Chairman for 2022–2023
