Trucco Rolls Out Year-Round Blueberry Program

THE BRONX, NY - Probably one of the most essential summertime fruits, blueberries are a sure sign of the summer season approaching. Just in time for summer, A.J. Trucco, premier produce distributor, announced its growing blueberry program. Its blueberries, grown in New Jersey, will be available starting late June, 2018.

“We are thrilled to be expanding our blueberry program year-round. We continue to partner with some of the best growers to support a robust program with only the finest-quality blueberries,” company President Nick Pacia tells me.

Over the last two years, Trucco’s blueberry program has seen 142 percent growth and is now the company’s second largest commodity. Contributing to this strong growth is the company’s long standing strategy of carefully selecting the best growers to partner with, according to a press release. Trucco’s blueberries are sourced in the U.S., British Columbia, and South America. Due to its close work with its growers, Trucco is able to offer fresh, well-priced blueberries across the market, and is available for distribution across the East Coast.

The company's New Jersey blueberries are currently packed under the Trustar label and it is beginning to import some of the blueberries with the label. With that in mind, the branded business is expected to grow in the coming years.

For those awaiting summertime berries, Trucco is making it that much easier to enjoy these beautiful fruits.
