GrubMarket Acquires Nova Libra; Mike Xu and Tom Greenhaw Discuss
SAN FRANCISCO, CA - Continuing to carry out its ambitious growth strategy, wholesaler GrubMarket has revealed its latest acquisition of Nova Libra, a software-as-a-service provider that specializes in e-commerce and supply chain software solutions. Together, the pair will work to streamline e-commerce across the food sector.
"Nova Libra has a sterling reputation in the software development space. They've been in business for over two decades, have a proven track record, and are a profitable business with high customer and employee satisfaction and retention," said Mike Xu, Chief Executive Officer of GrubMarket. "In this current digital age, having a strong e-commerce presence and operations is vital to the survival of traditional retail businesses. The pandemic has also accelerated adoption of digital transformation practices across all industries, especially in the food supply chain space. We're excited for Nova Libra to join the GrubMarket family to bring their high-quality and reliable e-commerce development talent to our ecosystem. This acquisition enables us to further strengthen our e-commerce and software development capabilities for our software customers."
Nova Libra was founded over 23 years ago and, over the last two decades, has taken hundreds of projects from concept to reality, a press release noted. The company's primary product offerings encompass enterprise e-commerce, product information management, and employee and vendor portals. These offerings are backed by Nova Libra's expertise, which is grounded in custom application development, mobile applications, AI and machine learning, cloud computing, and large-scale database management with an emphasis on Microsoft and Oracle technologies.
The software solutions company's CORAL e-commerce and communication platform, including a complete API for point-of-sale integration, also accommodates clients looking for turnkey solutions as well. Through its flexible, easy-to-use approach, Nova Libra has been enabled to create and maintain relationships with its large-scale customers for over a decade. Since its inception, Nova Libra has securely processed billions of dollars of revenue to date, and its software products are used at thousands of locations across the nation daily.
"We are excited to join the GrubMarket team and welcome the opportunity to add our 23 years of advanced supply chain management experience to the food wholesale business," commented Tom Greenhaw, President of Nova Libra. "Customers including True Value, Michaels, FTD, and Navistar have relied upon Nova Libra to provide excellence in software development and service. We are thrilled to learn that GrubMarket shares the same goals and has built out such a well-integrated and much-needed software solution to enable more streamlined e-commerce for the food supply chain industry. The mission to provide high quality, nutritious food to all market segments, especially those that are underserved, is a truly meaningful endeavor."
As GrubMarket acquires Nova Libra, the company's software and e-commerce development solutions will be added to the wholesaler's e-commerce and software product portfolio, which includes its proprietary WholesaleWare software suite, its software-as-a-service platform.
