Organic Produce Network and Western Growers Announce Three Ag Tech Education Sessions for Organic Grower Summit 2022; Matt Seeley and Walt Duflock Comment



MONTEREY, CA - Between Thanksgiving and Christmas this year, there will be another event drawing attention from all in the fresh produce industry: the Organic Grower Summit (OGS) 2022 presented by Western Growers and the Organic Produce Network (OPN). Set for November 30–December 1, three forward-thinking sessions focused on the ever-changing landscape of ag technology will take place during the event.

The three educational sessions devoted exclusively to burgeoning ag tech include:

  • The Latest in Ag Tech Equipment and Innovation: Explores the latest innovations from five ag tech and equipment companies on how new technologies are changing the face of organic growing
  • The Future of Ag Tech—Expanding On-Farm Profitability: Focused on technologies currently available for growers, the cost implications, and what the future of ag tech may look like
  • Meet The AgSharks: The three start-up finalists selected as part of the Western Growers/S2G Ventures 2022 AgSharks competition will engage attendees with their systems and technologies

Panelists for The Future of Ag Tech—Expanding On-Farm Profitability session include Paul Mikesell, CEO and Founder of Carbon Robotics; Bart Walker, President of Pacific Ag Rentals; and Gabe Sibley, CEO and Founder of Verdant Robotics; the session will be moderated by Seana Day, Partner at Culterra Capital

Walt Duflock, Vice President of Innovation at Western Growers, also commented on the exciting event.
