Through sophisticated preparation and planning, the company has reported an increase of 7 percent in volume compared to the 2020 season. SCSA’s Easy Peelers are on-par with year-to-date estimates and is Navel Oranges have pulled slightly ahead. Across all categories, quality and sizing are well aligned with the expectations of the U.S. market.

“While the pandemic brought the world to its knees, businesses must continue to forge ahead and our program is a fine example of the tenacity required to weather the storm,” added Conradie. “Our industry was taught valuable lessons during this time, including how to prepare for unexpected growth and persevere with an incredible group of service providers.”

From now through early August, conventional vessels are scheduled to arrive to the port of Philadelphia weekly. Following, the shipping program will adjust in relation to the supply and demand of the market.
