Giant Food Announces New Partnership to Expand Game Day Strategy
LANDOVER, MD - The Super Bowl is approaching quickly, and as we turn our living rooms into temporary stadiums, Giant Food has announced a partnership with Procter & Gamble (P&G) to make sure shoppers can get everything they need for the Big Game on the retailer’s website.
"We're excited to partner with P&G to offer our customers the full homegating experience—the ability to have fun while safely tuning into the Big Game from home," said Vice President of Marketing, Dyani Hanrahan. "We are also pleased to provide our customers the opportunity to donate to our local food bank partners and support hunger relief efforts as part of this e-commerce experience."
Consumers can find all the necessities from pre-game prep to post-game cleanup on the retailer's website and enjoy a variety of other resources sure to make tailgating at home that much more fun, according to a press release.
The site features exclusive sweet and savory recipes created by celebrity chef and restauranteur Tiffany Faison just for Giant customers. With videos that demonstrate how to create each dish, as well as a full shopping list, shoppers can order all of the game-day ingredients and have them delivered straight to their homes or pick them up with Giant PickUp, making experimenting with new Super Bowl favorites easier than ever.
Expanding the festivities beyond the kitchen and bringing the stadium energy to homes everywhere, the site also features a unique and exciting Spotify playlist full of all the perfect songs to get pumped up to, created by former Baltimore Raven Steve Smith Sr.
In addition to the new features on the site, shoppers also have the chance to donate $5.50 at online checkout as a celebration of the 55th year of supporting hunger relief efforts by the Capital Area Food Bank and Maryland Food Bank.
With a new experience at their fingertips just in time for the big day, shoppers will surely be filling their online baskets to the metaphorical top, and fresh produce is sure to make it onto their list.
AndNowUKnow will continue to report as retailers provide their shoppers more reasons to celebrate.
