Hy-Vee Drive Through Proposed for Minnesota Store

NEW HOPE, MN - Hy-Vee, beloved Midwest grocery chain, is getting serious about competing with other retailers. One of its stores in New Hope, Minnesota, will soon see a drive-through kiosk so consumers can pick up their groceries on-the-go.

Although other retailers like Walmart and Target have beat Hy-Vee to the proverbial online order punch, this move highlights the grocer’s commitment to serving its customers the latest and greatest in grocery innovation.

Hy-Vee’s New Hope, Minnesota, store will soon feature a drive-through kiosk

As reported by local news outlet CCX Media, the new drive-through kiosk will be located in a parking lot not connected to the store. It will feature three lanes for its customers that shop using Hy-Vee’s Aisles Online Program. The news source reported that the groceries being picked up will be sourced from the warehouse, not the store itself. This move will help minimize the amount of professional shoppers in the store and cut down on any potential checkout congestion.
