Target Appoints Grace Puma to Board of Directors; Brian Cornell Comments



MINNEAPOLIS, MN - Do you ever wonder what’s cookin’ with Target? Wonder no more, as the retailer’s latest news recently came across our desks. Target’s Board of Directors has named Grace Puma as the newest Director, effective immediately, serving on the Audit & Risk and Infrastructure & Finance Committees.

Grace Puma, Board of Directors, TargetMost recently, Puma retired from her role as Executive Vice President and Chief Operations Officer at PepsiCo, where she led global operations, global procurement, employee health and safety, global security, and holistic cost management. During her 12-year tenure there, she held numerous executive leadership roles, including Senior Vice President, Chief Supply Officer, and Senior Vice President, Global Chief Procurement Officer. Puma has also served as Senior Vice President and Global Chief Procurement Officer at United Airlines and in various leadership roles at Kraft Foods.

According to a press release, Puma currently serves on the Board of Directors of Organon & Co., and previously served as a Board member for Williams-Sonoma and Marietta Corporation. She was ranked on the Most Powerful Latina list by Fortune magazine in 2017, 2018, and 2019, and was named to the inaugural Most Powerful Latinas Hall of Fame by the Association of Latino Professionals in 2021. ExecRanks (now AdvisoryCloud) also recognized Puma as the No. 4 Chief Procurement Officer in 2013, the press release stated.
