Headquartered in Glennville, Georgia, Bland Farms is the largest grower, packer, and shipper of sweet onions in the United States. Bland Farms represents roughly one quarter of the entire Vidalia® sweet onion volume, and has the largest controlled-environment storage capacity in the industry. Bland Farms was the first company in the industry to market sweet onions year-round. In order to meet the needs of customers year-round, Bland Farms expanded growing operations beyond the borders of Georgia, across the United States, and internationally. Our strategically located operations result in the highest quality, freshest, and sweetest onions available to consumers and retailers today.
For Owner and President, Delbert Bland, farming is a way of life. He and his wife, Sandra, have honored and grown the family business that was passed down to them from Delbert’s parents, Raymond and Rubye Jeane Bland. In 2000, Sandra created Vidalia Brands®, which rapidly became the leading creator of Vidalia® onion products including salad dressings, salsas, condiments, relishes, seasonings, snacks, and more. These items give customers the Vidalia flavor they crave all year and are the perfect addition to produce departments and grocery aisles.
In 2021, Delbert’s son, Troy Bland, was named CEO of Bland Farms. Under Troy’s leadership, Bland Farms recently announced a new sweet potato partnership, Sand Candy Produce, LLC. With year-round sweet onions and sweet potatoes, Bland Farms is proud to be your one stop shop for all things sweet!
