Hood River Cherry Company is a family-owned orchard dedicated to producing the market’s best-tasting cherries. After years in the lumber business, we planted our first cherry tree in 1993, the same day our youngest son was born. Since then, we have grown to 275 acres of sweet cherries and a small cherry processing plant. We constantly improve our horticultural practices to deliver sweet, crisp, delicious cherries to our customers.

What does altitude have to do with growing fruit? Our cherries take longer to mature. The cool summer nights result in fruit that is not only sweeter and bigger, but also available later in the season. After ripening to perfection on the tree, the cherries are picked, cooled and packaged right here at the orchard. With this winning combination of Mother Nature and modern technology, our Bings, Rainiers, Vans and Lapins are consistently praised as the best-tasting cherries on the market.
