Kingston Cross Dock & Cold Storage
Kingston Cross Dock and Cold Storage is a state-of-the art produce storage and shipping facility in Pompano Beach, FL. Founded in 2007, Kingston Cross Dock & Cold Storage operates a 55,000 ft facility which was built in 1994.
The storage facility is on a main road in Pompano Beach, and has a rail siding which unloads directly into the facility. There are twelve separate coolers with individual refrigeration units, allowing for individual temperature control, and segregation of products that are not compatible. The facility is FDA-registered, with three stories of push-back racking, forced-air machines for quick cooling, and a new, hydro-cooler especially for asparagus. There are twenty-eight shipping bays, and three rail doors.
In addition to serving Kingston & Associates Marketing as an in-house account, customers include other national and international growers and shippers, with a large amount of volume from Central and South America. Kingston & Associates Marketing represents approximately 25% of the total volume. The top products handled include pineapple, asparagus, and melons.
Kingston Cross Dock is PRIMUS Certified, and has OSHA trained personnel, including an in-house quality control manager. Inventory and billing are maintained using state-of-the-art computer technology.
